WFST - The 2.5m Wide Field Survey Telescope
20 мин.
Аннотация:
The 2.5m Wide Field Survey Telescope (WFST) is being developed by astronomers at University of Science and Technology of China (USTC) and Purple Mountain Observatory (PMO). WFST is characterized by a 2.5-meter primary mirror and a primary-focus camera of a field of view of 7 square degrees. Its ability to retain both depth (m_r = 23.0 for a 30-second visit) and high cadence (~6000 deg^2 for 1 filter per night) makes it competitive in discovering transients on the northern sky. WFST will begin to survey the northern celestial sphere in the end of 2023. In this talk, I will introduce the WFST project, its construction progress and the main scientific goals of WFST.
2. Huijuan Wang (NAOC)
A brief introduction to the High Resolution Fiber-fed Spectrograph (HRS) of 2.16m telescope
20 мин.
Аннотация:
High resolution spectra make the unique role in researches of the determination of stellar parameters (e.g., abundances, surface gravity, temperatures), the discoveries of substellar companions of stars, identifications/confirmations of exoplanets, and the stellar activities. The Xinglong 2.16m telescope is the first 2-m class astronomical telescope in China. The High Resolution fiber-fed Spectrograph (HRS) of 2.16m telescope is currently the only astronomical instrument who was equipped with both a high precision temperature and pressure control system and an astronomical laser frequency comb in China. The current condition of HRS and the scientific researches based on it will be introduced in this talk.
