Our congratulations to Olga G. Kashibadze, the researcher in the Laboratory of Extragalactic Astrophysics and Cosmology, on receiving the "L'Oreal-UNESCO For Women in Science" International Award.
Under the terms, PhD women scientists under the age of 35 working in Russian research institutes and universities in the following disciplines: physics, chemistry, medicine and biology can apply for the award. Selection criteria are: scientific significance of an applicant, practical usefulness and feasibility of the project proposed to the jury as well as the intention of a candidate to continue a scientific career in Russia. This year, the program received 300 applications from different Russian cities and towns. As before, the jury primarily paid attention to the citation rate of applicants' works. As a result, the list of winners contained ten young women researchers with the h-index of 12 and 13 including Olga Kashibadze from our Observatory.
We wish Olga G. Kashibadze further success in science and awards in Russian and international scientific programs.
